This colloquium will highlight innovative, technology-based approaches to support self-management for students with Extensive Support Needs (ESN). The presenters will provide an overview of self-management as a critical skill for promoting independence and will showcase a variety of tech tools—such as visual schedules, prompting apps, and digital checklists—that can help students regulate their own behavior. In particular, the session will emphasize how data collected through these tools can inform individualized supports and promote successful implementation across school settings. This presentation is intended for educators, school teams, behavior specialists, and support professionals interested in using accessible technology to enhance student autonomy and engagement.
